Whitlock is a 5-foot-10, 165-pound athlete from Belle Vernon Area High School. He joined the Pitt football team in January 2023 and redshirted his first season. During his two years with the Panthers, Whitlock did not participate in any games. In high school, he excelled as a quarterback, throwing for over 1,000 yards and rushing for over 1,100 yards in his senior year.
