Title: Pitt Walk-On, WPIAL Product Enters Transfer Portal - Pittsburgh Sports Now Devin Whitlock, a walk-on wide receiver from Pitt, has entered the college football transfer portal. Whitlock is a 5-foot-10, 165-pound athlete from Belle Vernon Area High School. He joined the Pitt football team in January 2023 and redshirted his first season. During his two years with the Panthers, Whitlock did not participate in any games. In high school, he excelled as a quarterback, throwing for over 1,000 yards and rushing for over 1,100 yards in his senior year. Whitlock expressed gratitude towards God, the Pitt coaching staff, family, and friends in his announcement on social media. He has three years of eligibility remaining after entering the transfer portal. The Pitt football program is undergoing significant changes, with 16 scholarship players and several walk-ons entering the portal.
